Palazzo D'Arcato is located in a medieval mountain village, Lugliano, a few kilometres from Bagni di Lucca, and not far from Lucca, Tuscany.
This 16th century palace was restored by highly skilled traditional craftsmen and designed by a renowned and accredited architect of the region. With perfection and attention to detail, the construction took four years and was completed in 2006. The building, with approximately 530 square metres of living space, consists of four luxury flats overlooking an inviting pool area and mountain views. It is located in a relatively unknown part of Tuscany, far from the typical tourist areas. It is a land of medieval villages and scattered castles, set in verdant hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, leading to the foothills of the mountains with hidden flower meadows, chestnut forests and finally shady pine forests, a hiker's paradise within some of Tuscany's most spectacular landscapes.
On the ground floor there are two flats, both with direct access to the common areas:
The 1st flat consists of: dining room with kitchenette, a double bedroom, wardrobe room and large bathroom. Both the bedroom and the living room have direct access to the garden and the swimming pool.
The 2nd flat consists of: kitchen, living room, double bedroom, and marble-clad bathroom.
The third flat, on the first floor, has three bedrooms: a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and two bedrooms sharing a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room, both with their own balconies, from where you can admire the beautiful panorama.
The 4th flat, on the second floor, has a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a twin bedroom, a kitchen, a living room with an old stone fireplace and a dining room. The living area opens up to a large outdoor area offering views of the valleys and beyond.
The entire flat is equipped with central cooling and heating in reverse cycle.
The garage was recently purchased and has been restored to a high standard by local builders. This building offers a 1/2-car garage with a remote roller door and direct access to the property. A spiral staircase leads to a storage/workshop area and another room is occupied by a laundry room. An adjacent room provides space for garden equipment and pool accessories.
The palace is surrounded by a perfectly manicured 1,000-square-metre garden, with communal areas including a barbecue area, a storage room and a swimming pool with panoramic views of the valley and mountains, and is currently used as accommodation.
